Taxes really aren't that difficult, especially if you don't have complicated finances (I don't). When you have a small business or a lot of deductions, it can be confusing and very time-consuming. My mom's boyfriend does taxes. He did my taxes one year, and I owed the government money. Then I went and did them myself later only to find that he messed something up and that in reality I was owed money. Since then, nobody touches my taxes but me. It's really not that difficult to do, as long as you are willing to take the time and really put everything together.
