* I’ve tried Ebay and have had good success when I’m organized enough to mail stuff out. One thing I’ve learned is to sell similar items each time. This will allow you to keep a few spare boxes and appropriate packaging material on hand so it’s quicker to ship. You can use PayPal to print your shipping labels and the US Postal Service will give you free Flat Rate boxes.

* A few other posters suggested blogging and taking advantage of affiliate marketing. This is good, too. I’m an affiliate for Cash4Books.net and I get $5.00 for every person I refer that mails in books. One thing I also do is buy my textbooks online and resell them to my local university bookstore at a profit.

The posts about sending money to people and then putting yourself as one of the recipients for the next person to send money to seems like a scam to me. You don’t have to send money to anyone. All you have to do is copy the post, put your name and address or email address, and then post it to other forums. I guess it would work if people fall for it but I hope that no one does. Anyway, the tips on this site were good. I especially like the laundry one and I do intend to try it. Thanks for the help.

This seems to really have potential. This is the way the original post appeared when I first found it. Read it all then decide for yourself. It works for me! I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought, “Yeah right, this must be a scam”, but like most of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Well, everyone who sends me a buck has a good chance of getting A LOT of CASH … a much better chance than buying a lottery ticket!!! 4. WHAT IS THE BUSINESS? You are in the business of collecting mailing lists and recruiting new list developers. These questions answered, I decided to proceed. The instructions said that you have to send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 300 newsgroups. (There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So, I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!! Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in.
